Hello Everyone!

3 months and counting until Ruby's Reunion. This is coming up pretty fast. Here are some updated information regarding the upcoming events for Ruby's Reunion. I am going to send out an e-mail every week, just to keep you updated. There is also a website that will be updated regularly it is www.rubysreunion.blogspot.com. At this website, you can share ideas and keep undated about the family as well.

First off I need a head count and the ages of your kids, just so Beth Bartlett and Glenn Seegrist can plan the activities. I also need to know about what time frame you all are going to show up. The Party starts at 12:00 on Friday, July 2, 2010 and will end July 3, 2010 at noon.

We are planning to do a raffle. So bring anything you want to give away, or show off your talents such as, blankets, goodies, crafts, favorite books, etc.
We are staying in Heber. I am trying to find the web site so you can check out the facility. There will be dorms for us to stay in, but you have to bring your air mattress and sleeping bags.

The activities that Beth and Glenn are planning for the kids are mostly on Friday because we will be there all day, any suggestions please contact her at mochabart@yahoo.com. She would love any volunteers as well.

There is a Sweedish Festival in Salt Lake on June 21, 2010. This is the longest day of the year and the Sweedish Community shows off their traditions and has fun activities for the tourist. Beth Bartlett and her Dad, Don Despain are planning to go. Anyone who is intereasted in going please email Beth so she can meet you there. It sounds like alot of fun.

Dear Family -

This is an update on Ruby's Reunion coming up Friday, July 2nd, noon to Saturday, July 3rd, noon. I'm sure all of you have this on your calender already. It will be at the Heber Girls Camp just outside of Heber City, Utah. (A map will come later.) Heber City is one hour from Salt Lake City in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains and about 20 minutes from Park City. I think it's about 45 min from Provo, up Provo Canyon. So for you out-of-towners, you may want to make your accommodations early. It is the 4th of July weekend and things will fill up fast as Salt Lake City, Provo and surrounding communities have activities going on as well. REMEMBER that Friday night is reserved at the camp for a couple dormitories. It will accommodate around 250 people - so you only need to bring your pillow and a sleeping bag. It will be one big slumber party!!! Which will be alot of fun!!! The facilities are brand new and the bathrooms are nice and clean with showers.

Scott Seegrist is the family corespondent and has been working hard on a website that will be interactive and ready soon. He sent a letter to everyone just a couple days ago that tells about "the book" that I had written earlier.
The Madsen's have agreed to be in charge of the meals/food for the 2 days and last year Glen Seegrist agreed to be in charge of the activities. However, I haven't been able to get hold of Glen. So Beth Despain Bartlett has agreed to visit with Glen and help him out since she lives near him. So plan on games/activities for the kids. There is a lake at the camp with boating & canoeing with lifeguards and swimming for the older kids and adults if they should want. Also a large grassy area for games.

I'm getting really excited to get together again and to visit with everyone.
I just want to keep everyone informed of what's happening and more info will be coming in the next few months.
If anyone has any comments, suggestions, or would like to help in any way, contact me.
And I send my love and good wishes!

Darlene
